Our Secret Ways of Styling

Posted on

In our love affair of what to wear in the mornings, we often overlook some pieces that seem to be hanging right in front of our eyes. It's hard to remember what styles you fell in love with when you're used to picking the basics every day, leaving all those gems there to collect dust. But today, we're here to show you the simple ways we love to style pieces -- even the ones you're unsure about!

Tuck It

Cafe Blouse | Gold Lace Teardrops

Whether it's a front tuck or a tuck all around, nothing beats this classic touch! A simple front tuck to a cropped piece can completely transform it. Add a belt and a blazer to finish off the look.

Bunched Sleeves

Khaki Trench | Charcoal Camisole

Sometimes, sleeves can be a bit too long or baggy depending on the size measurements. You might have bought something because it was super cute, but later you found that the sleeves are just not cutting it. Our secret: cuff the sleeves about two times, and then pull them up. We then like to rouche the bunching to set the effortless look. If you have a long sleeve underneath, let it still peek out in case you get chilly. This is our favorite sophisticated styling technique -- works like a charm!

Sage Green Duster | Sandy Dress

It's easy to throw on a basic dress or top and head out the door. We believe there is always a way to add a little something to transform the outfit. Layering is a great way to do so! Adding a fun duster to a dress like we did with our Sage Green Duster and Sandy Dress can instantly add another aspect to an ensemble. You can also try our lovely Mauve Trench Coat and Mocha Cardigan as fun layering pieces for just about anything!

Self-Tying Bows

Jackie Jacket

Nothing brings a look all together like wrapping it in a knotted bow. For a little accentuation, bring your ties to the back and pull them together in a loop or a lovely bow to emphasize the waist area. It can easily take the outfit to a tailored look.
