We know you love to see our pieces on Instagram or on our website - but there's nothing like seeing what our clothes look like in real life. That's why I decided to take some of my personal faves to California during a post-birthday vacay! Read all about it:
To keep out the unusual chill and rain the early days of my trip, I opted for our Tess Chenille Cardigan. Not only is it super comfy, but it added a unique pop of color to my otherwise neutral outfits! The slightly oversized fit created the perfect casual vibe. Paired with a classic white tee, leggings, and trusty Vans sneakers, it was for sure an easy look for a day of shopping. It wasn't just good to have while I was there - this cardigan kept me super cozy on the flight there and the one back home. Definitely a great all-around travel piece!
From Malibu to Venice Beach to Manhattan Pier, I obviously had to go total beach vibes with the Take Me Sailing Trousers. The pants were a little looser on my waist than I would normally prefer, but it was a quick fix with a chain belt and were the perfect fit otherwise. The best part was the wide leg with the pleated details, it was super breezy and great for the typical L.A. weather. I decided to go for a more tropical, beachy look in a bralette with similar button detail, sandals, and tiny sunnies!
One of my looks got the Jimmy Kimmel seal-of-approval! I was an audience member for the popular late night show, so I decided to dress up in the Wanderlust Jumpsuit - just in case I managed to get my 15 seconds of fame! This was definitely my most stylish look and an easy way to pull off something cohesive and put-together. It was strangely warm in the studio - there were a lot of lights for it to be a late night show, haha - so the light weight of the fabric saved me from getting too hot. The polka dots add a subtle bit of detail to make the jumpsuit stand out. Because of the simplicity of the piece, all of my accessories were statement pieces - some mod black triangle sunglasses and a matching coin necklace + earring set.
I brought both versions of the Flirty Floral Mini with me, but I thought the pink one was best suited for a day out in Beverly Hills. With some pink frameless sunnies fresh off the boardwalk, a pair of flat floral sandals, and some simple gold jewelry, I was ready to strut the streets! It was the ideal L.A. day weather-wise - sunny + warm with an occasional breeze - so it was the best day of the trip to wear this dress. I got tons of compliments - mainly on the print. It's bold against the soft pink but in a really subtle way that makes the dress super versatile - you can go for a more dressy, feminine look or go for something casual but still cute. If I had to pick a favorite look from my vacay, it'd definitely be this one!
